Low Tide At Shelly I

The second artwork in a new experimental series of abstract beachscapes and landscapes. I've given myself the freedom to play and experiment in the studio and this has been an intensely satisfying excercise and a fresh new direction for my art. The interesting thing is that I am using the same tools, paint and colours with the results being so different yet still very familiar to my original style.

This artwork was inspired by my favourite beach and rock pool and I have tried to capture the stilness of the water in the rockpool contrasting with the wildness of the ocean just beyond the ocean wall.

Artwork sides are painted white.
