Oceans Apart

This artwork was inspired by the vast oceans that separate us as as humans, many of us live in different countries to our families and as much as the ocean connects us globally it is also the bit in between...

The first few arworks in a new experimental series of abstract beachscapes and landscapes. I've given myself the freedom to play and experiment in the studio and this has been an intensely satisfying excercise and a fresh new direction for my art. The interesting thing is that I am using the same tools, paint and colours with the results being so different yet still very familiar to my original style...
